The reason I chose this particular chair is mainly it's solidity, it's simplicity, and it's sort of minimalist design. It is very sturdy, which I need as I am not a light man. The height adjusts simply by rotating the seat on it's threaded post up or down. The foot ring is screwed to the legs solidly. It doesn't have castors or wheels, which is how I want it. It has a cool looking stitched leather back, very minimalist, and a very minimalist leather seat pad---I added a pad to sit on---and best of all it comes fully assembled! It's awesome!
